Interview with Othanier “Steen” Johnson, at the SO on 06/01/93, approximately 12:30 AM.

 

Othanier ohnson was one of the two persons who called the police after finding the back door open on Motton Wynn’s house.  These 2 subjects were there to check on the condition of Mr. Wynn who had not been seen for several days.

 

Othanier Johnson said that he last talked to Mr. Wynn on Thursday, 05-25-93.

 

Johnson often checked on Wynn for his sister-in-law who lives in Memphis.

 

Johnson was asked about the young black female he had told Collins about.  He said that he never saw the girl face-to-face.  Johnson said he understood she was supposed to be from California and that she is supposed to be around 15 years old.  Johnson said he had no idea why Wynn was picking the girl up.  He said Motton Wynn was picking the girl up at Big Star on West Broadway.

 

Johnson said he understood that Wynn met the girl when she came to his house one day and asked him to let her use the telephone.  He said that she was supposed to have used the phone while some b/m waited for he in a Cadillac.

 

Othanier Johnsons said that Wynn told him about the young b/f, but says he never saw her in person.

 

Johnson said he understood that Wynn had picked up the girl on more than one ocassion.

 

Johnson was questioned about the presence of a hasp and lock located ona small table in the living room.  He said that Wynn used it to lock his phone up to keep his nephew frm using his phone.  The nephew was identified as a Curtis Collins, nephew of Mr. Wynn’s wife.

 

Johnson said that it has been about 2 weeks since he has been in the house and he used the phone at that time.
